Having predominantly been an investor in the Web3 space, SK networks is transitioning to a “business investment company,” akin a venture capital firm. This strategic pivot came as part of the “SK networks 3.0” initiative in 2019, marking the progression beyond the earlier phases of SK networks 1.0 and SK networks 2.0 that revolved around trading and rentals. Following this strategic realignment, SK networks will not only invest in high-growth areas but leverage the resulting technological advancements to upgrade its business model. As part of the transition, SK networks has committed KRW 10.8 billion to Block Odyssey, a blockchain and NFT solution company, and an additional KRW 26 billion to Hashed, a global blockchain VC fund.

Recently, SK networks has taken a significant stride into the Web3 domain with the launch of W.XYZ, an NFT membership project of one of its businesses, Walkerhill Hotel. 2. W.XYZ, an NFT Hotel Membership by Walkerhill
W.XYZ is Walkerhill Hotel’s NFT membership, which is a results of a collaboration between lifestyle brand Peaches and FSN's blockchain subsidiary Fingerlabs. Announcing Phase 1 on July 26, SK networks unveiled its plan to issue a collection of 48 NFTs, allocating 16 to celebrity influencers and 32 to those who complete Walkerhill's offline missions and Discord's online missions to earn medals. The 48 selected individuals will form the ALPHA community and devise operational plans and propose benefits. Already, the Phase 1 rollout is off to a great start, attracting over 200 participants within a week of its launch.
