BSV 100% 폭등이 라이트코인에도 영향을 미친 정황이 온체인 기록상 나타났다. 라이트코인의 최근 7일간 전주 대비 온체인 거래대금 증가폭은 85%를 나타냈고, 백만달러 이상 거래 횟수 증가폭도 같은 기간 40%를 넘겼다. '비트코인'이라는 키워드가 급부상하면서 방향을 잃었던 자금들이 라이트코인과 같은 비트코인 계열 메인넷으로 쏠린 현상으로 풀이된다.
17일 암호화폐 시장 공시 플랫폼 쟁글에 따르면, 라이트코인의 지난 7일간 온체인 거래대금은 31억7,731만9,961달러 (한화 3.7조원)으로, 전주 대비 85.44% 늘었다. 같은 기간 이더리움의 온체인 거래대금은 18억8,397만5,804달러 (한화 약 2.2조원)으로, 증가폭은 12.99%를 나타냈다.
지난 7주간 라이트코인의 온체인 거래대금은 이더리움의 1.7배였지만, 그 전주에 두 코인의 온체인 거래대금은 라이트코인 17억1,339만5,147달러(한화 약 1.98조원) 이더리움 16억6,738만2,780달러 (한화 약 1.93조원)으로 비슷한 수준이었다.
라이트코인의 백만달러(한화 약 11.6억원) 이상 거래 횟수는 지난 7일 동안 514건으로, 전주 대비 42.38% 늘었다. 라이트코인의 가격도 1월 10일 48.727달러에서 1주일 후인 17일, 58.474달러로 20% 뛰었다.
이 같은 라이트코인의 가격 상승과 거래 활성화는 비트코인에스브이(Bitcoin SV, BSV)의 단기 폭등의 영향으로 보인다. 비트코인 창시자 사토시를 자처하는 BSV 수장인 크레이그 라이트가 비트코인(BTC) 110만 개를 확보하는 데 필요한 '튤립 트러스트'의 마지막 키를 입수한 것으로 추정된다는 보도가 나온 바 있다.
